About akeller


Photographer formerly of Ontario but living in Australia for the last 20 or so years :) Andreas was an early pioneer of sharing photos on the Internet on alt.binaries.pictures.rail before any online rail photo sites existed. I'm keeping myself busy producing model trains for the Australian market http://www.sdsmodels.com.au/ . All photos are Kodachrome 200.

An Eastbound CSX train rolling through Shedden, ON behind a pair of Seaboard System SD40-2's 8109, and 8214 on May 30th, 1987. 8109 was built as L&N 8109 in May of 1980, and would go on to become CSXT 8109 before being retired sometime in the 2010's. 8214 was built as L&N 3586 in September 1977, and is presently still on roster as CSXT 8214

Windsor to Toronto train #72 passes through Bayview Junction with VIA 6569 - VIA 6425 leading 8 blue coaches. 6569 was built as CP 4069 in August of 1952 6425 was delivered new in July of 1987

Canadian Pacific GMD SD40's 5544, 5551, and MLW M636 4706, slug a westbound up the grade east of Guelph Junction, about to cross Canyon Road. The lead unit sports the new "non multi" action red scheme, as the multimark logo had been done away with a few years earlier.
